Report to General Manager, Business Development

SUMMARY

The Business Development Manager (BDM) will be responsible for the
overall coordination of all sales initiatives and ongoing client
management in their jurisdiction. This role will require a good
understanding of the groups core service offerings, ability to
identify and execute effective sales campaigns, ensure that all client
support structures are in place and have the ability to build and
manage a team of account executives. The BDM will work with other
internal stakeholders across the organization in a very dynamic and
challenging environment where communication, coordination and
negotiating skills are at a premium. The BDM will also be responsible
to lead the team in client meetings and presentations and will report
to the General Manager, Business Development on a regular basis.

REPORTING LINES AND DUTIES

*
Overall responsibility for the development of local business
initiatives and ongoing client management.
*
Manage the account executive team.
*
Plan/carry out/support local sales activities to agreed budgets
and time-scales, and integrate personal sales efforts with other
organised marketing activities, e.g., product launches, promotions,
advertising, exhibitions and telemarketing.
*
Correspondence & communication with clients on a regular basis
via email, telephone or direct meetings.
*
Maintain and develop existing and new customers through
appropriate propositions and sales methods, and relevant internal
liaison, to optimise quality of service, business growth, and customer
and satisfaction.
*
Managing the daily/day-to-day operations of account executives
team, this includes staff attendance, office hygiene and conducting
performance review on a regular basis as required by the company.
*
Use customer and prospect contact activities tools and systems,
and update relevant information held in these systems.
*
Setting the work flows and procedures.
*
Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and
provide relevant reports and information.
*
Reports directly to General Manager, Business Development.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides direction and may periodically supervise 5 or more employees.
Carries out managerial responsibilities in accordance with the company
rules and regulations. Responsibilities may include interviewing and
training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work;
appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to
perform each primary duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed
below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability
required.

EDUCATION AND/ OR EXPERIENCE

A Bachelor degree/ University graduate is required with emphasis in
Sales and Marketing and (or) other related educational background and
a minimum of 7 - 10 years of work experience in a related discipline

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Excellent English, both verbal and written with good attention to detail.
*
Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia, Mandarin & Cantonese would be a plus.

SKILLS

*
Excellent communication and interpersonal skill.
*
Sound understanding on the use of computers, in particular MS
Office applications.
*
Sound knowledge of the local market environment.
*
Responsible, discipline and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
*
Strong project management skills with experience in implementing
and managing large projects.
*
Strong analytical skill in providing
concept/suggestions/solutions to clients.
*
Working understanding of all facets of sales and marketing
activities and ongoing client management.
*
Extensive knowledge of design methodologies and best practices
and good understanding on how to assist client in solving their
business problems.
